Coordinate the preparation of school's annual operating budget and amendments as needed

Provide regular budget to actual reports to school administrators and charter school board

Verify expenditures are within board approved budget limits

Provide monthly financial reports to school district as required

Provide regular financial reports and information to the charter school board

Code invoices to proper object and function, per Florida state statutes

Enter invoices into accounting system

Process checks in a timely, coordinated fashion

Properly post monthly expense accruals

Maintain accounts payable – aging schedule

Maintain accounting documents and records in an electronic format, to allow timely and easy access

Maintain contracts associated with expenses and verify payments are made in accordance with specifications in each contract

Enter deposits into the accounting system

Reconcile receipt of grant monies and operating funds

Properly account for receivables under the modified accrual basis of accounting

Maintain accounting system & records in accordance with Florida state statutes

Ensure the charter school has all documentation required for the annual audit, as required by Florida statutes

Primary contact for auditors

Review draft audited financials to ensure in accordance with school records

Maintain purchase order system

Verify purchases are within charter board approved budget

Match purchase orders to invoices
